What can I say? I hope these picture capture just a glimpse of what my sweet sister ~~in-law~~ means to me. I always feel so much pressure when is comes to capturing friend and family's special once-in-a-lifetime moments. Cassandra was no exception. I love her to bits, and Spencer is no runner-up. Their day was beautiful and about everything it should have been.

prepare for an over-load, I usually place a few pictures of the couple/wedding, but I can't even narrow this wedding down to 250 pictures to edit. Luckily there was no editing required. Yes, Cassie and Spencer are THAT beautiful!

A VERY rainy day! I thought for the first time I might catch pneumonia, my legs were trembling I was so wet and cold. Was it worth it? The train station photos scream YES!

Busy is an understatement. Weddings out my ears. BEAUTIFUL weddings I could spend days playing with. Too bad my goal is always minimal photoshop, here are a few from just 2 of the 5 weddings I am working on at the same time. Beautiful lighting, subjects, and mood make for almost no editing. I love these. Just seconds in photoshop and I'm sooo content! I hope you all love them, I'll be making several posts to come. If I can find the time between doctor appointments for baby #3 on the way, moving day into my dream house in 3 weeks, birthdays, family dinners, oh and SUMMERTIME!!! It came!

Almost right? This shoot we had to do at the zoo because although I was April, we got 2 feet of snow that morning. Oh Canada right? I love how they turned out though, and I can't wait to shoot this couple's wedding in Hawaii in just a few more months!

These engagement photo look fitting for Hawaii, I can't wait for the real thing now!

What a crazy time it's been. We bought a new house, sold our house. That doesn't sound like a lot when I type it out, but have I ever been busy. Enough that I was shocked when I saw I have only done 5 posts this year! WHAT? 5? So, here is an update of just a few of the photo-shoots I've done since the new year. I can't believe I just wrote "the new year" like it just happened or something. It's almost April.

Who said you can't go outside in the winter. This shoot was soooo much fun. I wish they were all like it. Simone, I love your family!

And a classic winter wedding. I have to say it just to brag, this was real snow in the photos. No photoshop action here people. Real snow falling.

I loved this couple. He wrote the most amazing vows to her, I had a hard time seeing through my camera the tears were streaming! And I go to a LOT of weddings!

On my pathetic topic of the new year.... what a year this is going to be!!! Destination weddings!!!! One in Portland in 2 weeks I can NOT wait scope out locations and then HAWAII!!! It'll be a first for me, but with a beautiful bride and groom, the photos won't disappoint!

Home Bound

I love going home to visit my parents almost as much as I think my boys do. They do nothing short of worship their Nanie and Papie! So I'm happy to say I'll be going to Regina in May and have to make time for a few photo-shoots right??? Here is the dates and details:

1 hour sessions for $200 includes your disk of 25-30 fully edited images from which you can print to your heart's content! I get lots of requests for shoots in Regina, so snatch one up because these will go fast!!!!

Extremely busy over Christmas break with 2 weddings, 2 newborn sessions, lost of commercial work, and this one just for name dropping. Honestly honored and excited to have been able to work for Harry Rosen.

Such amazing lines of clothing, I couldn't help but think, maybe next shoot I'll do a trade, and they can dress my husband from head to toe. Not a bad idea, don't you think? ;)

I give a 4-6 weeks turn around time from wedding date, to the time that the photos are done being edited and the album proofs are made up. This lovely bride was ready for them what, 2 weeks after? I think that is right. Sounds like me. I could barely wait to be home from my honey-moon to see our photos. I fully approve of the exitement Amy.

I owe it all to this couple for the beautiful barn love affair. I've been mourning it's loss since winter hit. WAIT! that just gave me the greatest photo idea! white snow with the white barn! OH MY GOSH! Wouldn't those be amazing?????
I need to buy a run down barn. They have got to be sick of me calling and asking persmission to use their awesome yard and barn with it's mossy roof.

I love that place.

The wedding, the couple, the bride, the groom, everything was lovely. This is my awesome brother in-law and his new wife. They are as lovely inside as they are on the outside. That says a lot, because let's face it, LOOK AT THEM! I'm so happy I could capture their day! Prepare for an overload...

And pie for desert! How unique! They even cut a pie instead of cake.....fun!

Time for the big announcement! I am SO excited for this promotion. I will be offering mini sessions of 30-45 minutes with me in the studio. With these sessions you will receive the disk with 15-20 edited images, an 11x14 print, two 8x10 prints and four 5x7 prints. What's the best part? Oh how I love a non-traditional head-shot. It has been too long since a post, I'm crazy busy with weddings up to my ears and fall family photos. I think this will always be marked in my calender as "take-out dinner month". I have lost of posts coming up and a MINI SESSION PROMOTION you are going to LOVE ME FOR!!! No enhancing required! Their eyes are amazing! I'm so happy for one of my best friend all the way back from high school! I'm even happier that I get to photograph this babe-licious couple on their big day. Krista, you have been such an amazing friend to me through everything. I consider myself so incredibly lucky to have had you as my friend for more years than I care to count. You have always supported me in everything and been so genuine. What more could you ask for? You have the greatest catch (besides Seth) who wants to be with you forever, and there is no doubt you deserve it. From what I know of Luke, he deserves you too, which says a lot. I love you both, and wish you many more years of beautiful photographs to go along with a beautiful life story. Cheesy I know, but I mean every word.

What can I say. The perfect intro to the new blog. This was a first time for me. This shoot was for a band that I have to say was the funnest EVER! I was laughing so hard at times I had to cross my legs. Don't pretend like you've never had to do that before. So glad they chose me to shoot their photos for their album and website. I had a blast with the whole gang including costume designers and set designers. Too much fun.
